Goddard- graphic designer

This is Goddard my boy! we study together in Illustration and he is a very talented student and well I have to say he is quite better then me at drawing I can hand it to you. Above is a project he had to come across where a dress had to be designed...... madness but he made it!. Each step shows you how he made it and had a little hand from his girlfriend? to just show how the results of the dress.
wacky portraits

20th century well known man......Pablo picasso......my favourite artist

Pablo was a Spanish painter living in Spain for nearly all his life and he was the main co-leader of cubism which today it lead for different painting styles and people exploring more. He was a superstitious man, sarcastic, often rotten to his children and beastly to women.

speloona!!!

speloona also known as martin is a fellow student who I study with at the University of East London. He is well experienced and every project he produces is at high standard and sometimes think he's actually sick at what he does........
That there i can remember is from a panorama project we came across and sadly I didn't get to show mine yeah I know it sucks! but at the same time martins image has a lot of power and skill. He comes out with very random and funny drawings but they work out really well (I just don't know how he does it but it rules).
Here are more of his images and a weblink to his website he provided everyone to see.
the jungle?..... I dont know what it is but its very interesting .

here are some of my appropriation .... yeah baby!

My Plate design of fist

Well what can I say I am a student currently studying Illustration and printmaking first year (BA). At a young age I had too much passion into drawing little cartoons which then it helped me develop more skills into drawing anything I like and can do within a short period of time. The end...

Zoe Coock

  • I studied BA (hons) in Graphic Communication at the University College for the Creative Arts Farnham.
  • Very good use of colours, good composition....... I mean GOOD!
  • As this young designer grew up his talent also followed him because where he was brought up he knew the best idea for him is to inflict that with his work so he can be successful.
  • The lino design really stands out well quite reminds me of Pablo's lino as both designers mostly work with self portraits.
Here's a link i have provided to see more of this young persons work.

Identity (race and gender)

Modernism/Postmodernism

First of all Postmodernism is a movment that was taken away from the critical thinking of modernism. It sadly said that its a suspicion towards global cultural narrative or meta-narrative. At this point it includes a very large amount of ideas such as architecture, modern design, drama, law, culture and religion. They both follow the same path as they reject the form of art for example:

Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque had alredy developed their own ways of paintings from different angles using different material, techniques and collage.

Modernism Hans Hofmaans Painting(The Gate 1959-60)

Paul rand-graphics designer

OK for starters Paul rand is an amazing graphics designer and the first ever image I saw from him was this.........
and this really caught my eye because the eye in the design caught me. At a young age he was really passionate about his talent as he painted signs for his dads grocery store and school events. This lead to him being widely self taught in the graphics design industry so he then got into a position of making his own images for magazine, and creating corporate identities with symbols and effective styles.

hmmmmm

chris ofili -

'Hip, cool and wildly inventive' - The Guardian
'You can’t fail to be entertained' - The Times
'Modern Master of radiant colour' - Daily Telegraph
(feedback from public about Chris :D)
Chris Ofili's work is all about rich paintings combined with rippling dots, drifts of glitter, collaged image and elephant dung. In his work the viewer can almost understand that the message he or she's receiving is black culture whilst at the same time he's expressing beauty in his own way....well I suppose he is  but the image below quite reveals a female figure with a good use of distinction colours and composition.

Eric Gill -

Eric Gill was a British sculpture, printmaker stonecutter and typeface designer. In the 20Th century he was one of the most colourful designers and yet his images were all printed in black and white. Gill’s subject matter swung between the deeply religious and the highly erotic, a direct echo of his eccentric life. (Taken from his website which I will later on provide to show you all !!)

Female Nude IX book

In 1929 Eric had a friend who was a publisher and this way he helped him through out and managed to produce a book full of his prints and this way today its up and published on his website which now we can see more of his creations......

JOHN STEZAKER

Born 1949, in Worcester
Lives and works in London.

Marriage I

2006
Collage

23.5 x 28.5 cm

John Stezaker is a british artist who works with a collage
style and is facinated with images. In whitechapel his exhibition carries a lot of his work and its his first major solo retrospective. His main point and idea of his style is transforming an old image with a new meaning as you can see on the left with a distinction design. By perfecting his pieces he invents ways of slicing and separation of images this way it can relay stand out to the viewer.
Love XI, 2006
Collage, 24x18cm
Well personally this image is one of my most favourite eye catching image from the rest because first of all the concept of it worked really well as a strange fade into the woman's eye's affect anyone who looks at her (my eyes where hurting after 5 seconds glazing at her!). At the same time its quite creepy as her eyes are widely open staring at you with a smile and this mostly relates to double vision and visual perception.

The link below will expose his exhibition in white-chapel and more images made by him (crazy ideas but very........beautiful).

douglas gordon - moving image

picture of mutilated Bond girl that makes a creepy and unnerving experience
(weird....) its an image from his exhibition.
"I always liked the idea that words, which are supposed to be concrete, when spoken by a different person at a different time can have a completely different meaning." (Said by Douglas Gordon)
Douglas Gordon is a Scottish Artist who works with a huge range of media, videos, photography and audio text based work. In his work he mostly comes across with memory  and what he does he constantly repeats them into different/various forms.
The image on the left that you can see is part of ''Douglas's blond girls'' and below I found a website which reveals the rest of his work and personally they quite scare me but at the same time with a lot of power and talent in designing this kind of idea.

Saul Bass - The Graphic designer

Saul Bass

520 x 363  (Saul Bass filming)
Saul Bass was an American graphics designer. During his early times in his career he was not only famous by graphics design but also a well mastered film director as he had three partners with him along the way (Alfred Hitchcock, Otto Preminger and Martin Scorsese. At the same time as he directed films he had a large number of movies posters he designed. I also researched online that some of his work was displayed in the Kemistry Gallgery for the last month or so. His work and style is very admiring because as you can see most of his work is only used in two colours red and black which stands out to me (viewer). Personaly his work is very eye catching, sometimes sureal but very strong.
Below I am going to show you more of his work that he worked on through out his life and the ones which where displayed in galleries (Kemistry Gallery) ........
